cv. of lingulata X wittmackii - (Other cvs. = 'Cherry Smash', 'Gran Prix', 'Grapeade' & 'Orangeade') - Large green rosette to 28" tall & 28" wide - typical inflorescence in cherry coloration and yellow flowers - Also in unnamed variegated form around 1995 - Bromeliad Treasury 1983 said, "Introduced by DeMeyer at the 1980 WBC - 24" arching rosette is formed by 1-1/2" x 24" reddish-green leaves w/faint striping at their bases - the 24" scape has 6" long scape and floral bracts in a vibrant cherry-red and overlap each other all the way to the top of the inflorescence - red flowers w/prominent bright yellow exserted stamenà".
