cv. of wittmackii (purple form) X lingulata - Hot rich pinkish purple inflorescence and typical green rosette in medium size - white flowers - inflorescence in color for 8 weeks - Bromeliad Treasury 1983 said, "The plant has average Guzmania leaves 1" x 24" w/brown lines on the leaf backs - the rosette is a beautiful arching fountain of leaves - the large 24" scape is topped by a 12" array of intense raspberry purple flower bracts - the flowers form at the nodes of each bract and in a cluster at the upper end of the scape - they are raspberry-purple w/a white tip".
