VRIESEA ‘Stars and Stripes’ Arden, John circa 2004

Mature, upright, open rosette to 40cm. diameter x 30cm. high. Depending on growing conditions, broad, arching leaves can be pale creamy yellow with very stretched dark-green hieroglyph cross-banding and thin green longitudinal lines on the obverse. Alternatively, foliage can be creamy white-based with mossy green glyph cross-bands and fine green longitudinal lines plus pink-tinged leaf tips. Inflorescence is an erect, simple pale green spike.
