Mature, caulescent rosette to 30cm. diameter x 32cm high. Stiff, recurving, scurfed, channeled, silvery grey-green leaves to 18cm long x 1.5cm wide which curl at the tips. A vegetative sport off T. duratii x T. stricta which produces numerous mainly grass offsets along the stem without flowering. Named in honour of Benedict Tay, the founder of Singapore Tillandsia.
