cv. of olens commonly called 'Vulcan' but changed to olens 'Marie' for Marie Picard's fine clearly colored compact cultivar. - (See JBS articles for clarification(?) of name change) - (See '696' & 'Vulcan') - the cultivar 'Marie' has a thinner base and stays greener than the other clones - Small bulbous flaring rosette in yellow-green w/red spots throughout upper leaf surface becoming splotched and mottled below - bayonet shaped tips in hot red w/outer portion of leaves becoming bright red in good light - red center at blooming.
