Mature, compact rosette to 10cm. diameter x to 12cm. high. Short stiff, scurfed green leaves, densely stacked, the upper portion turning bright scarlet red at blooming with exserted, tubular violet flowers. The leaves in cross-section are triangular-shaped. Wild-collected as T. ionantha by the late Gary Hammer, at an unrecorded location in Mexico. Ionantha Group. Reg. Doc. 11/2018 by Pachara Orchids. Country of origin: Mexico / Thailand
