Mature open large rosette to 52 cm diameter x 16 cm high. The arching, scurfed, grey-green leaves, tipped bronze in strong light, are 25 cm long x 3.5 cm wide, tapering to a point. The erect, tightly-branched inflorescence is 26 cm tall with salmon pink bracts and up to 12 scurfed paddles, salmon at the bottom phasing to yellow- green at the top, each to 15 cm long with deep purple flowers.
