TILLANDSIA ‘Confuscious’ Flower A 2007

Mature rosette to 23cm. diameter x 20cm. high. Recurving, scurfed, grey-green leaves in a ball-shaped cluster. At blooming ,the inner foliage turns salmon pink and the compact exserted inflorescence has russet red floral bracts and purple flowers tipped white. The seed parent had multiple pollinations and this cross is from batch AB862669 which was mistakenly labelled as pollinated by another T. xerographica. Some seedlings sold were considered by a customer to be too soft-leaved for T. xerographica. This proved true when the resultant flowering indicated it was indeed the T. bradeana cross. Much confusion over the years, hence the cultivar name. Reg. Doc. 8/2016.
Country of origin: New Zealand
