Mature densely-layered rosette to 60cm. diameter x 80cm. tall in spike. Many silver-scurfed, grey-green, channeled, recurving leaves, tapering to a point. Erect or leaning, heavily-branched inflorescence with narrow, coral red -bracts and violet flowers. "BSJ" refers to the Bromeliad Society of Japan, of which the breeder is currently the President.
