Mature open rosette to 40cms. diameter. Scurfed , glossy red / brick red arching leaves with slightly raised inflorescence of large red scape bracts and tubular violet flowers tipped white. Originally wild-collected in Mexico in the 1970s and identified as T. capitata "rubra". The name "Roja" means red in Spanish . Capitata Group. Reg.Doc. 1/2015 by Paul Isley.
