Mature, open rosette to 50cm. diameter. In strong light, black-spined, bronze green leaves heavily cross-banded / punctated sepia brown / black / purple. Parentage amended on breeder's advice. Originally published and registered in error as N. Hannibal Lector. Cultivar name is based on the fictional character Dr. Hannibal Lecter (correct spelling) as published in the novel trilogy "Red Dragon" (1981), "The Silence of the Lambs" (1988), "Hannibal" (1999), which generated a number of movies.
