Mature rosette to 60cms. diameter. Grey-brown/ puce leaves, coloured rusty red with sparse brown spotting toward the centre and the reverse foliage completely silver-scurfed . Leaves to 15cms wide with heavy, black spines each over 1cm long. Maintains a chunky, upright, urn-shaped form. Seed grown in New Zealand from cross made in South Africa. Named after 'The Lion King' animated movie, honouring its African origin and toothy appearance. Grex siblings = N. 'King Simba', 'Mufasa', 'Scar'. Reg. Doc. 2/2015 by Graeme Barclay.
