Mature rosette to 60cms. diameter. Grey-brown/ puce leaves, coloured rusty red with sparse brown spotting toward the centre and the reverse foliage completely silver-scurfed . Leaves to 15cms wide with heavy, black spines each over 1cm long. Maintains a chunky, upright, urn-shaped form. Seed grown in New Zealand from cross made in South Africa.
