Mature open funnel-form rosette to 45cm. diameter x 50cm. high. In strong light, leathery bronze green to coppery red leaves with large black retrorse spines. Erect, meally red-stemmed, lightly-branched spike , to 1.2 metres tall, of woolly white-encrusted pinkish red-bracted pea green cones with mauve flowers. Reg. Doc. 12/2015.by Marie Giddins.
