Mature, vase-shaped rosette to 35 cm tall x 30cm. diameter. About 10 black-spined, dark maroon leaves (5cm. wide) spotted pink and cross-banded silver on the foliage reverse. .The decurved inflorescence has red scape bracts; ribbed green ovaries; blue tipped, light red sepals and green-throated flowers with coiled, violet petals.
