Mature upright rosette to 45cm. diameter x 80cm. high. Broad, leathery green scurfed leaves with broad silvery green cross-banding. Branched, compact inflorescence just clears top leaves,and is thistle-shaped with scarlet bracts, and yellowish orange flowers. Cultivar has strong woody stolons with sharp scales, which resemble a thagomizer = an arrangement of 4-10 spikes on stegosaurid dinosaur tails. Grex sibling = Ae. 'Aussie Maiden'. Reg. Doc. 10/2019.
