Mature, compact rosette to 10cms. diameter x to 12cms. high. Short scurfed green leaves, tiangular-shaped in cross-section, densely stacked, turning dusty pink at blooming. The flowers are deep purple to almost black colour. Wild-collected as T. ionantha by the late Gary Hammer, at an unrecorded location in Mexico in 2007. Ionantha Group. Reg.
