Mature rosette to 40cms. diameter x 36cms. tall in bloom. Bulbous base - 9 cms. diameter with faintly brown leaf sheaths 3.5 cms. wide, becoming light green, tapering to a point at apex. Leaves are rather upright and spreading at half their length . Foliage turns pinkish-red when blooming. Scape (peduncle) 10-12 cms. long produces 1-3 branches. Scape bracts and scape strongly pinkish-red, faintly lepidote. Floral bracts are lime green, slightly glabrous at base, fine scales at apex and flowers are light purple, 5-7 per branch. Reg.
