Entire plant with inflorescence is 26-40 cms. tall. Slightly open rosette of upright light-green leaves (14 -24 cms. long), somewhat bulbous base, faintly brown sheaths. Obverse leaf surface covered with fine white adpressed scales, reverse foliage scales are less dense. Simple narrow shiny red inflorescence, 12 -15 mm wide, Floral bracts scantily covered with fine white scales. Each spike will produce 6 - 12 dark purple tubular flowers. Reg. Doc. 7/2015.
