Mature rosette is 30-45 cm tall with inflorescence. Rosettes have a semi-bulbous base with brown sheaths. The upright light-green leaves are laxly-open near the top. Leaves are wide at base (2.5 to 3.5 cm) narrowing to a point at apex and covered with finely adpressed scales. Central leaves, scape bracts and primary bracts will turn red when blooming. Inflorescence can have 1-6 paddles (each 8-12 cm long, stipe 2 cm), which are lime-green to pale yellow. Floral bracts with narrow red edges.
