Mature upright rosette to 20cm. diameter. Many narrowly triangular, arching leaves form a compact rosette. Foliage is brown-red color with thin, prickly spines and is covered with a powdery, glaucous coating. . The erect inflorescence to 20cm. tall is compound and develops a pyramidal shape.
