- Tall open horrida form w/rich reds and white - knuckled and spiny - good intermediate plant - upright combination inflorescence favors the amoena parent - this form is the true Gerda - the small open plum-black rosette bearing the name 'Gerda' in the USA has been renamed "Grande' - the tall tubular plant with dark blue petals bearing the name 'Gerda' in Australia in the 1960/70's has been renamed 'Royal Vase'((See 'Grande' & 'Estrella'& 'Royal Vase')
