BILLBERGIA ‘Elvenia Slosson’ |
Giridlian |
<1945 |
A case of misidentity? With these parents you would not expect this description of a large plant by Padilla - Very long strap shaped leaves in dark green turning much shorter and purplish bronze in good light - bright red bracts w/deep purple petals - inflorescence 24-36" long. Named to honor prominent local California garden club official. Plant grown in Australia in the 1970's called 'Elvenia Slosson' but closer to what you would expect for 'Leodiensis' ( nutans x vittata)!
