Mature upright rosette to 1 metre diameter x 1.6 metres tall in bloom. Broad, bronze green / red leaves with scurfed grey-green reverse. Erect, long-lasting, red-stemmed, branched spike of rosy-red peduncle bracts, spiky clusters of golden orange ovaries / sepals with yellow flowers. Originally registered in 2006 as x Portemea 'Phat Pat'.. However, the seed parent Portea leptantha was reclassified in 2007 by E. Leme as Aechmea leptantha, effectively making this cross an Aechmea.
