(Other grex sibling = 'Red Princess') - A large graceful rosette w/dark glossy coppery-burgundy-colored pointed leaves with red-brown spines - inflorescence is white and purple berried - very cold tolerant - fine landscape plant - prolific - looks good for several generations. Seed parent may be victoriana v. discolor?? - Bromeliad Treasury 1983 said, "The plant has 20 1-1/2" x 30" beautiful burgundy red semi-glossy reflexed leaves which are channeled and spined producing a 30" very formal arching rosette - The inflorescence has a 25" semipendent scape w/burgundy bracts - a panicle of bright cerise berries w/pure white flowers".
