Mature rosette to 35cm. diameter. Narrow, arching, pliant mid-green leaves with reddish leaf axils, typical of Wallisia cyanea. Erect,white paddle-like, semi-ovoid spike, tipped green, to 20cm. high with large, rich purple flowers. After about 1 month, the white paddle develops a pink blush. Discovered in 2013 by Caboolture, Queensland grower Bernie Polzin at a street market in Maryborough, Qld. It's exact origin is unknown, nor whether it is a vegetative sport from the normal, pink-bracted W. cyanea, or if a seed-grown variant or a tissue-cultured mutation. Reg. Doc. 3/2017 by B Polzin.
