Mature upright rosette to 25 cm. diameter x 20 cm. high. Deep maroon, scurfed, flared, thin, waxy, tapered leaves. Foliage colour is dark even at juvenile stage or from pups size. The scurfed rosette base shows faint silver cross-banding from T. 'Wilda'. At blooming the central foliage turns brighter red and the recessed inflorescence has purple flowers, Reg.
