Mature, compact rosette to 10 cm. diameter x up to 20 cm. high. Short, densely-stacked green leaves, the upper portion turning coral red at blooming on an extended caudex (stem). The leaves in cross-section are triangular-shaped. The main distinct feature are that the pups emerge from the middle of the trunk and not from the base. Wild-collected in 2007 as T. ionantha by the late Gary Hammer, at an unrecorded location in Mexico. Ionantha Group. Reg. Doc. 5/2017 by Pachara Orchids.
