Mature, compact rosette to 10cms. diameter x to 12cms. high. Short scurfed green leaves densely stacked, the upper portion turning scarlet red at blooming on an extended caudex (stem). Curvy, side-ward leaves in one direction like frozen combed feathers. The leaves in cross-section are triangular-shaped. Wild-collected as T. ionantha by the late Gary Hammer, at an unrecorded location in Mexico. Ionantha Group. Reg. Doc. 11/2016 by Pachara Orchids.
