NEOREGELIA ‘Two Tone OT’ R Smythe*

Qld, AU . This saga goes back to the early 1980’s when George Anderson in the USA did some hybridising where he not only was uncertain of the identity of the seed parent but also the pollen parent. In any event, ‘Two Tone’ came into being and circulated in Australia. It was a plant that showed links with concentrica. In the early 2000’s Rob Smythe came across a plant called ‘Two Tone’ but this was different and thus he has named it ‘Two Tone OT’ The OT standing for Other Type. There is conjecture as to a sibling link between the two hybrids but this seemed to be the best solution. Plant 45cm diam in sun, 65cm in shade, 25cm high
