Mature tubular rosette to 65cm. tall x 20cm. diameter, flaring at the top. Black-spined, green stiff leaves speckled / spotted creamy white, gaining a rosy veneer with age. Some silver cross-banding on the foliage reverse. The short, protruding inflorescence has scarlet red scape bracts, pinkish ovaries, pink sepals tipped blue and blue curling petals.
